This policy covers kojosarfo.com, the official website of comedian Dr. Kojo Sarfo (“we,” “us”). It explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to info@kojosarfo.com.
What we collect
- Booking requests and contact messages. Your name, email, and anything else you choose to put in the form, such as your organization, phone number, event details or message.
- The email list. Your email address and, if you share it, your city or ZIP so we can tell you about shows nearby.
- Basic usage data. When visit counting is on, Google Analytics records pages visited, general location (city level), device type and how you arrived. IP addresses are anonymized and Google’s advertising features are off.
- Ad measurement. When we advertise on a platform such as Facebook and Instagram (Meta), TikTok, YouTube (Google Ads), LinkedIn or Snapchat, that platform’s tag can tell it that someone who saw one of our ads visited this site or clicked through for tickets. These tags run only on our show, booking, speaking, merch and press pages, never on blog or FAQ pages.
- Your location, only if you ask. On phones, the “Shows near me” button asks your browser for your location once so it can sort tour dates by distance. That happens on your phone. Your location is never sent to us or saved.
Please don’t send health or medical details through any form on this site. This is an entertainment website, and it isn’t set up to receive them.
How we use it
- To reply to booking requests and messages.
- To send show announcements and updates if you join the list. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand which pages are useful and fix what isn’t.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. When ad measurement is on, the ad platforms we use count your visit to measure and improve our ads. Switch it off under Your privacy choices and nothing is shared for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help run the site: our web host (SiteGround), our email delivery service, our email list provider (Kit) and, when visit counting or ad measurement is on, Google Analytics and the ad platforms we advertise on. They process data on our behalf. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Links, tickets and videos
Ticket buttons take you to each venue’s own website, and merch links go to Dr. Kojo’s official store. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Videos on this site play from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, which doesn’t set YouTube cookies until you press play.
Cookies and your choices
The site works without cookies. If you’re in Europe or the UK (we go by your device’s time zone), a banner asks before anything that tracks visits can run, and “Reject all” is as easy as “Accept all.” Everywhere else, visit counting and ad measurement are on unless you switch them off.
- Visit counting (Google Analytics) sets first-party cookies to count visits.
- Ad measurement sets cookies for the ad platforms we use, only while we run ads with them.
Your choice is saved in your browser, not in a cookie, for 12 months. You can change it any time with Your privacy choices at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request not to share your data for advertising, and ad measurement stays off. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, and the site will still work.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the email list with one click. You can also email info@kojosarfo.com to see, correct or delete the information you’ve sent us. Depending on where you live (California, for example), you may have additional rights, and we’ll honor them.
Children
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. Many shows are 21+.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of the page.
